Hillary's All or Nothing

It must be devastating for Hillary Rhodam Clinton to see her chances of becoming the democratic nominee fade into oblivion. It has to be beyond infuriating to have the media - that once so blindly worshipped and adored her mischievous better half - turn on her and declare with such confidence that the die is cast, and hers is now an unstoppable plunge into defeat, no less to a country that, as far as she is concerned, has not yet had the final word.

This is supposed to be the time at which the planets should have been perfectly aligned to signal her messianic arrival. This is the hour for which she was born; this is supposed to be her moment; and who would dare presume to take that away from her.  Full Piece

'McCain Talks Tough on Judges But Can He Be Trusted?'

Senator John McCain gave a speech recently on the need to appoint judges that interpret laws rather than legislate from the bench. There was a lot to like about what he had to say on judicial activism. McCain said, “The moral authority of our judiciary depends on judicial self restraint,” and railed against the “systematic abuse” by judges who push their liberal agendas through judicial fiat. He also took issue with “Senate obstructionism” practiced by liberals who are blocking the president’s judicial nominees. The speech seems designed to help McCain firm up his conservative base.

But here’s the problem. Senator McCain has made it harder to confirm judicial conservatives to the bench. (Judicial Watch neither opposes nor endorses candidates for pubic office.) Full Article

Conservation Loses Out to Global Warming Panic

A global food crisis looms, as crops are diverted to biofuels. Food prices have soared 83 percent in three years. Thousands of U.S. farmers are pulling their land out of the government’s biggest conservation program to plant millions of acres back to crops and pasture. U.S. environmentalists warn that “years of conservation progress” will be lost as America’s 35-million-acre Conservation Reserve dwindles, especially in the important bird-nesting areas of the northern Great Plains.

Global grain shortages are spreading. The World Food Program says it must abandon some of the drought-stricken hungry. U.S. hog farmers are quietly asking their veterinarians how to euthanize their baby pigs, corn prices have risen so high they’d bankrupt their families trying to feed the pigs to market weight.  Full Article

Jimmy Carter: Citizen Traitor

The political left in America is like a deranged passenger on a jetliner who repeatedly attempts to storm the flight deck and crash the plane, but who the crew and other travelers are limited in their ability to restrain due to obscure regulations (whose full implications were unforeseen when they were implemented) which give the unhinged would-be saboteur the right to move about the cabin freely.

So it is with the left’s perversion and abuse of the First Amendment - and with certain influential Americans whose egos supersede all concerns apropos our national security.  Full Piece

Liberal Hate Speech May Doom Dems' Election Hopes

First it was Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s expletive-laced sermons and anti-Semitic rants that plunged the Obama campaign into full damage-repair mode. Then Barack triggered an uproar when he remarked about down-on-their-luck voters, “And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them.”

That’s right, the reason those yahoos place their faith in a Higher Power is because they can’t find themselves find a decent job.  Full Piece

A Culture of Corruption: The News Media

During a segment of Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor, former CBS TV newsman now media critic, Bernard Goldberg, stated clearly and consisely, “The news media are corrupt.” His fellow guest Jane Hall, formerly of the L.A. Times and now a respected journalism professor concurred.

They were lamenting the fact that by and large the members of the Fourth Estate were in the bag for Democrat president candidate Senator Barack Obama. In fact, it’s almost sickening how the denizens of America’s newsrooms go out of their way not to cover stories that would be covered if Obama were a conservative Republican.  Full Piece

'Is it Because He's Black?'

Just how much - if such a thing can be reliably quantified - relating to the presidential campaign of Barack Obama can be traced to his ethnicity?

Some might assert that everything - or nearly everything - apropos the Obama campaign, save for the careful manner in which he has employed his rhetoric has to do with the fact that he is black, due to the overall cultural climate in America.  Full Piece

HRC: 'Shame on You, Barack Obama'

Every time her campaign hit a rough spot, Hillary Clinton has artfully played the role of defender of the downtrodden or misty-eyed damsel-in-distress. But the sympathy vote began to tire of that routine. So now Mrs. Clinton has taken on a new role: Mother Superior.

First the Clinton campaign accused opponent Barack Obama of “plagiarism” for borrowing a couple lines written by Massachusetts governor Patrick Duvall. A close friend of Obama, Duvall was flattered by the move, but Hillary was ready to haul out the rope noose.  Full Article

Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling

Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming - Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile—the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA’s GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.  Full Item

NBC: Palestinians, A 'Victim' Of Their 'Environment'

Martin Fletcher, NBC News Correspondent and Tel Aviv Bureau Chief, has been known to hail Palestinians as “victims” before. He has also been known often to blame Israel for all the ills suffered by Palestinians, so Fletcher is an expert at assigning blame while excusing the behavior of Palestinians. Here is a story that fits in perfectly with Fletcher’s penchant for blaming everyone but the guilty party along with extolling the supposed victimhood of the Palestinians.  Full Piece
